NHPC signs MoU with employee union for wage revision

The duration of Wage Agreement (effective from January 1, 2017) will be for a period of 10 years, that is till December 31, 2o16.  About 4,500 workers of NHPC will benefit from this agreement

New Delhi: A Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on wage revision of workmen has been signed between NHPC, government-owned hydropower company, and its employee union representatives. NK Jain, Director (Personnel), Avinash Kumar, Executive Director (HR), Vijay Kumar, Executive Director (Finance) and other senior officers of NHPC signed the MOU on behalf of NHPC. Speaking on the occasion, Jain, Director (Personnel), NHPC said, "The signing of MOU for Wage Revision is an important landmark in NHPC Employee Policy.  It reflects NHPC's total commitment towards implementing best employee policies across all levels and take care of their interests."

The duration of Wage Agreement (effective from January 1, 2017) will be for a period of 10 years, that is till December 31, 2o16.  About 4,500 workers of NHPC will benefit from this agreement. This MOU will pave the way for new pay scales and allowances for the workmen with effect from January 1, 2017.  The MOU has been welcomed by all employees of NHPC Ltd.

The employee unions was represented by RC Khuntia, president, All India NHPC Workers and Employees Federation, H Mahadevan, President, All India NHPC Employees and Workers Council, Jagdish Chandra Bajpai, President, NHPC Karamchari Mahasangh, NK Dogra, President, All India NHPC Employees Front and Debasish Maitra, Vice President, National Coordination of NHPC Employees Union, alongwith other office bearers.
