OIL and NRL jointly felicitate Olympic Medalist Lovlina Borgohain

New Delhi/Guwahati: Numaligarh Refinery Limited (NRL) and Oil India Limited (OIL) felicitated Tokyo Olympic Bronze Medalist Lovlina Borgohain on Wednesday jointly in Guwahati. The occasion was graced by Minister of State for Petroleum, Natural Gas & Labour and Employment Rameswar Teli.

NRL and OIL presented two cheques of Rs 25 Lakh each totalling Rs 50 Lakh to the Olympic medalist. This amount is net of taxes after deducting 30 percent TDS on the gross amount of Rs 71.42 lakh.

The cheques were handed over to Borgohain by the Minister of State Rameswar Teli in presence of NRL's Managing Director SK Barua and Indian Oil's Director (Finance) Harish Madhav.

The occasion was also graced by NRL's Director (Technical) BJ Phukan, Lovlina Borgohain's father Tiken Borgohain, OIL's Resident Chief Executive Prasanta Borkakoty, OIL's Executive Director (HR) Ashok Das and other senior officials of both the companies.

Borgohain thanked NRL and OIL and the people of Assam for their overwhelming support and hoped to meet up to their expectations in the future.
