S Das set to be new Director (Finance) of Balmer Lawrie

New Delhi: Sandip Das is set to be new Director (Finance) of Balmer Lawrie & Company Limited, a Miniratna PSU under the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas. Das's name has been recommended by a Public Enterprise Selection Board (PESB) panel on Tuesday. He is currently serving as General Manager in the same organisation.

Das has been selected for the post of Director (Finance) of Balmer Lawrie from the list of six candidates who were interviewed by the selection panel. A total of two candidates who were on the list were from Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) and others were from Steel Authority of India Ltd (SAIL), Lawrie & Company Limited and MSTC Limited.

Das is Associate Chartered Accountant (ACA) of the Institute of Charted Accountants of India of 1989 batch. He had completed his bachelor of commerce (B. Com) from St Xavier's College, Kolkata.
