Samir Mukherjee appointed as Director (Personnel) of ECIL

Samir Mukherjee, who was serving as General Manager at BHEL, has been appointed as Director (Personnel) of Electronics Corporation of India Limited (ECIL)

New Delhi:  Samir Mukherjee has been appointed as Director (Personnel) of Electronics Corporation of India Limited (ECIL), a Miniratna PSU under the Department of Atomic Energy. The Appointment Committee of Cabinet (ACC) has approved his appointment on December 16. "He will serve on the same post till the date of his superannuation or until the further orders, whichever is earlier," the statement from ACC said. Prior to this, he was serving as General Manager at Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL), a Maharatna PSU under the Department of Heavy Industries.

Mukherjee was recommended for the post of Director (Personnel) of ECIL by the Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) panel on October 3. He was selected from the list of four candidates, who were interviewed by the selection panel.
