New Delhi: A day of awards for NTPC Limited, PowerGrid and PFC. The 'Dun & Bradstreet Infra Award 2019' organised in New Delhi on Wednesday came power PSUs' way. NTPC got the award in 'Best Performing Power Generation Company category, PowerGrid bagged it for 'Best Power Transmission category', and PFC was awarded under the 'Best Infrastructure Finance Company' category.
The ceremony was attended by dignitaries and industry veterans from key infrastructure sectors such as construction, ports, power, oil & gas, telecommunications, etc. Dun & Bradstreet awards are given to recognise the critical role played by companies in supporting the country's growth. Powergrid Corporation of India Limited (PGCIL), Maharatna PSU, has been conferred the Dun & Bradstreet Infra Award 2019 in the 'Best Power Transmission category'. The award was received by POWERGRID's Director RK Chauhan (Projects) from Union Minister of State for Road Transport & Highways General Dr VK Singh (Retd.), in the function.
