New Delhi: India celebrated its 76th Independence Day on August 15, 2022, with the usual pride to mark its freedom from British rule. Along with the entire country, Tripura State Electricity Corporation Limited (TSECL) also celebrated the day with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervour. On this auspicious occasion, the tricolor was hoisted by the Director (Finance) of the corporation Sarvjit Singh Dogra and the national anthem was sung by all the employees present in the corporate office programme. As a part of the programme, some other beautiful patriotic songs were also sung by the members of the TSECL Employees' Recreation Club as a reminder of the sacrifices that many freedom fighters made to get Indian independence from British Rule.
In his address to the august gathering, Dogra highlighted how TSECL observed Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav along with the entire country. Then he stated the importance of change for survival and development in all vicinity of life with a special emphasis on the corporate sector. In this context, he hinted at the reforms held in TSECL during the last four years in the area of organizational structure, infrastructure development, customer services and financial discipline. He also emphasised upholding very high integrity to the corporation by all the employees and also urged to maintain high morale at work. Director (Finance) also appealed before all the controlling officers to nominate the names of their employees as per the prevailing incentives scheme of the corporation for the upcoming Bidyut Seva Awards programme both for executive and non-executive employees within the stipulated time schedule for employees' motivation. Before ending, he delivered homage to the freedom fighters from the core of his heart.
Besides the programme in the corporate office, Agartala; all the Circle, Division, Sub- Division and Other Offices of TSECL also celebrated the day in patriotic vehemence. In this propitious occasion, a Blood Donation Camp has been organised by the Transmission Wing of the Corporation under the dynamic leadership of General Manager (Transmission) Ranjan Debbarma at 79 Tilla, Agartala to make the day more colorful and memorable with a social cause.
