After Salal, Power Secretary visits ‘Dulhasti’ power station of NHPC

During his visit to 'Dulhasti' power station of NHPC, Ministry of Power’s Secretary Sanjiv Nandan Sahai reviewed various activities of the power station and also gave necessary instructions to the officials

New Delhi: Ministry of Power's Secretary Sanjiv Nandan Sahai and NHPC Limited's Chairman & Managing Director (CMD) AK Singh along with Ministry of Power's Joint Secretary (Hydro) Tanmay Kumar visited Dulhasti Power Station on October 29 on the way to Pakal Dul, Kiru & Kwar projects of CVPPL. Govt of Jammu & Kashmir (UT)'s Principal Secretary (PDD) Rohit Kansal, Chenab Valley Power Projects Limited (CVPPL)'s Managing Director AK Choudhary and NHPC (Jammu)'s Head of Region Rajan Kumar were also with the Delhi team visiting the hydro projects.

On the arrival of the dignitaries at the Dul Dam helipad of Dulhasti Power Station, Dulhasti Power Station's General Manager (In-charge) Nirmal Singh, Additional District Development Commissioner of Kishtwar Mohd Hanief Malik, and Senior Superintendent of Police of Kishtwar Dr Harmeet Singh welcomed all the dignitaries with the flower bouquet. CISF personnel presented guard of honour to the Secretary in a program organised at Dul dam.

On this occasion, they (visiting dignitaries) reviewed various activities of the power station and also gave necessary instructions to the officials. Sahai expressed that it is the need of the day to maintain the power stations for its high efficiency.

While Singh expressed his gratitude to the Secretary for visiting Dulhasti Power Station. The dignitaries also undertook an aerial survey of Ratle, Bursar, Kwar, Kiru and Kirthai Hydroelectric project sites.
