BN Mishra joins IBA (Delhi Chapter) as Senior Advisor

Former Chief General Manager of Punjab Bank BN Mishra has joined Indian Bank Association (IBA) as Senior Advisor

New Delhi: BN Mishra has joined Indian Bank Association (IBA) as a Senior Advisor on January 1. Prior to this, he was serving as Chief General Manager (CGM) in the Punjab National Bank. With this new responsibility, Mishra will be the head of IBA (Delhi Chapter) and will be responsible for coordinating activities relating to banking at the Central government level.

Mishra holds a Master's Degree in Economics from Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), Delhi. He has over 35 years of experience in spearheading entire banking/branch operations, customer relationship management, audit and compliance and team management functions. He was selected by a committee of senior bankers and top management of IBA. He joined PNB in the year 1985 and served till the date of his retirement in the year 2020.

Indian Banks' Association (IBA) was formed on September 26, 1946, as a representative body of management of banking in India – an association of Indian banks and financial institutions based in Mumbai. With an initial membership representing 22 banks in India in 1946, IBA currently represents 247 banking companies operating in India. IBA was formed for the development, coordination and strengthening of the Indian banking system, and for assisting member banks in various ways, including implementation of new systems and adoption of standards among the members.
