New Delhi: Dr Anesh Kumar Sharma is the new Director (Technical) of Electronics Corporation of India Limited (ECIL), a PSU under the Department of Atomic Energy (DAE). The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the appointment of Dr Sharma to the post on March 22.

According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT), he has been appointed to the post on deputation basis in exemption from the Rule of Immediate absorption basis for a period of five years from the date of assumption of the charge of the post, or till the date of his superannuation, or until further orders, whichever is the earliest. He is currently serving as a Scientist 'G' in RCI (DRDO), Hyderabad.

Dr Sharma is an alumnus of SA Jain School, Ambala. He has done Ph D in Micro-Electronics for RF & Microwaves from IIT-Hyderabad. He has been serving as Scientist G in DRDO, Hyderabad since July 2004.
