Govt appoints Ramesh Chandra Joshi as Director (Finance) in NALCO

The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the appointment of Ramesh Chandra Joshi as Director (Finance) of National Aluminium Company Limited (NALCO)

New Delhi: Ramesh Chandra Joshi has been appointed as Director (Finance) in National Aluminium Company Limited (NALCO), a Navratna PSU under the Ministry of Mines. He was recommended for the post by the reserve panel. The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the proposal of the Ministry of Mines for the appointment of Joshi as Director (Finance) in NALCO on Thursday.

According to an order from the Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT), Joshi has been appointed to the post with effect from the date of his assumption of charge of the post till the date of his superannuation i.e. April 30, 2025, or until further orders, whichever is earlier. He is currently serving as Group General Manager (Finance) in the same organisation.

As Director (Finance) of NALCO, Joshi will be a member of the Board of Directors and will report to the Chairman and Managing Director (CMD). He will be overall in charge of finance and accounts functions of the organisation and will be responsible for evolving and formulating policies relating to finance and accounts as well as implementation.

NALCO is a Navratna PSU, having integrated and diversified operations in mining, metal and power under the Ministry of Mines. It is one of the largest integrated Bauxite-Alumina-Aluminium-Power complexes in the country, encompassing bauxite mining, alumina refining, aluminium smelting and casting, power generation, rail and port operations.
