Govt nominates Dr Sanjay Kumar as Director on the Board of UCO Bank

The Central Government has nominated Dr Sanjay Kumar as Director on the Board of UCO Bank with immediate effect

New Delhi: Central Government has nominated Dr Sanjay Kumar as Director on the Board of UCO Bank on Thursday. In a regulatory filing to the stock exchange, UCO Bank informs that Kumar has been nominated on the board of the bank in place of Anand Madhukar with immediate effect and until further orders whichever is earlier. Presently, Dr Kumar is serving as Director in the Department of Financial Services under the Ministry of Finance.

Dr Kumar belongs to the 2003 batch of Indian Post & Telecom Accounts and Finance Service. He has joined the Department of Financial Service as Director on September 21, 2017. Prior to joining this Department of Financial Service, he worked in the Department of Telecommunication (DoT) and Department of Post (DoP). In DoT, He dealt with the works related to Spectrum Usage Charges, License Finance and Universal Service Obligation Fund in various capacities. In DoP, as Internal Finance Advisor and Director Accounts, dealt with the works related to Finance advice, Accounts, Budget and Internal audit.

Dr Kumar has been on the Board of Syndicate Bank, as a Government Nominee Director, from April 05, 2018, till March 31, 2020. He was also a member of the disciplinary committee constituted by the Council of the Institute of Actuaries of India.
