IRCON Director (Finance) Mukesh Kumar Singh gets additional charge of CMD’s post

IRCON Director (Finance) Mukesh Kumar Singh has been given additional charge as Chairman & Managing Director (CMD) of Ircon International Limited

New Delhi: IRCON Director (Finance) Mukesh Kumar Singh has been given additional charge as Chairman & Managing Director (CMD) of the company upon the superannuation of Sunil Kumar Chaudhary on April 31. "Singh has assumed the additional charge of the post of CMD of IRCON in addition to his own duties on May 1, for a period of three months or until further orders of Ministry of Railways whichever is the earliest," the PSU said in a regulatory filing to the stock exchanges on Saturday.

Singh holds a BA (Hons) degree and an MA degree in Mathematics. He has also done M Phil (Mathematics) and Post Graduate Diploma in Financial Management from IGNOU. He is an Indian Railway Accounts Services (IRAS) officer of the 1990 batch. Prior to joining Indian Railways, he worked as a lecturer of Mathematics in the University of Delhi. He had worked in various capacities for 25 years in Indian Railways.

Singh had joined the board of IRCON as Director (Finance) on May 1, 2016. Prior to joining IRCON as Director (Finance), he was working as General Manager (Finance) in Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (on deputation) for about four years. He has rich experience in various branches of Railway Accounts and Finance, including exposure to working in multi-departmental set up of Indian Railways. He has worked in the area of financial matters of construction issues of rail infrastructure pertaining to SPVs, financials of Railway projects and appraisal of PPP projects in Indian Railways, compilation and preparation of accounts of Indian Railways, dealing with statutory audit (C&AG), etc.
