Manoj Jain set to be Director (Research & Development) of BEL

New Delhi: Manoj Jain is set to be the next Director (Research & Development) of Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL), a Navratna PSU under the Ministry of Defence. He has been recommended for the post by the Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) panel on Wednesday. Presently, he is serving as General Manager in the same organisation.

Jain has been recommended for the post of Director (Research & Development) of BEL from a list of six candidates, who were interviewed by the PESB selection panel in its selection meeting held on June 22. All the candidates, who appeared for the interview, were from BEL.

As Director (Research & Development) of BEL, Jain will be a member of the Board of Directors and will report to the Chairman and Managing Director (CMD). He will be responsible to lay down the R&D policy of the company and formulating the strategy for development in the areas of both equipment's and components to maintain the company's position as a leader in the electronics and components market, promoting indigenisation under 'Atma Nirbhar Scheme' of the government.
