PESB names Jaikumar Srinivasan for NTPC’s Director (Finance) post

New Delhi: Jaikumar Srinivasan is set to be the next Director (Finance) of NTPC Limited, a Maharatna PSU under the Ministry of Power. He has been recommended for the post by the Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) panel on Thursday. Presently, he is serving as Director (Finance) in NLC India Limited.

Srinivasan has been recommended for the post of Director (Finance) of NTPC from a list of six candidates, who were interviewed by the PESB selection panel in its selection meeting held on Thursday. There were a total of three candidates, who were on the list were from NTPC Limited and one each from NLC India Limited, RITES Limited and Honda Cars India Limited.

Srinivasan is a B Com graduate from the University of Nagpur and an Institute of Cost and Work Accountants of India (ICWA) from the Nagpur chapter. Prior to his appointment in the  MSEDCL, he was serving as Director (Finance) in the MSEB Holding Company Limited in August 2017. He also worked with Mahahenco as a Director (Finance). Apart from that, he was serving as part-time Director of Mahaguj Colliery Company limited, UCM Coal Company Limited and other subsidiary companies of Mahagenco.

As Director (Finance) of NTPC, Srinivasan will be a member of the Board of Directors and will report to the Chairman and Managing Director (CMD). He will be overall in charge of finance and accounts functions of the organisation and will be responsible for evolving, formulating and implementing financial policies including commercial aspects.
