PESB picks Barnali Barua Tokhi for BPRL MD post

The Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) has picked Barnali Barua Tokhi as the next Managing Director (MD) of Bharat Petro Resources Ltd (BPRL)

New Delhi: The Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) has picked Barnali Barua Tokhi as the next Managing Director (MD) of Bharat Petro Resources Ltd (BPRL) on Wednesday. The panel interviewed a total of five candidates for the position. Three candidates on the list, including Tokhi, were from BPRL, while the other two were from NTPC-BHEL Power Projects Pvt Ltd and Indian Railways Stores Service.

Tokhi's appointment to the post will be subject to vigilance clearances and an approval from the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet. When appointed, Tokhi will be the first woman MD of BPRL.
