Power Grid’s former CMD SK Chaturvedi passes away, he was 71

Former Chairman & Managing Director (CMD) of Power Grid SK Chaturvedi passed away on April 24 at the age of 71 year

New Delhi: Former Chairman & Managing Director of Power Grid SK Chaturvedi is no more. He took his last breath on April 24. A veteran of the power transmission sector, Chaturvedi was 71 years old. He served the Power Grid starting from August 1, 2008, to August 31, 2011.  

A post-graduate in Human Resource from the University of Lucknow, he was known as a seasoned HR professional and leader who upheld professional integrity in all matters. He introduced several new concepts of employee development and was responsible for initiating several progressive HR policies in the organisations he had served.

Chaturvedi also served as Director (Personnel) of National Hydroelectric Power Corporation (NHPC) and had also worked with Steel Authority of India (SAIL) and National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC) in various capacities. He also headed the Joint Electricity Regulatory Commission (JERC) for Goa & Union Territories in the capacity of Chairman.
