SECI signs LoI to set-up 2 GW of solar PV projects in Rajasthan

New Delhi: Solar Energy Corporation of India Limited (SECI) is planning to set up 2 GW of solar PV projects in Rajasthan under 'Invest Rajasthan.' In this regard, a Letter of Intent (LoI) has been signed between SECI and Rajasthan Renewable Energy Corporation Limited in Jaipur recently. The LoI has been signed in presence of the Chief Minister of Rajasthan Ashok Gehlot by SECI's Managing Director Suman Sharma and Additional Chief Secretary (Power) Government of Rajasthan and CMD of RRECL Subodh Agarwal.

SECI is a PSU under the administrative control of the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE). It was set up to facilitate the implementation of NSM and the achievement of targets set therein. It is the only PSU dedicated to the solar energy sector. It was originally incorporated as a section-25 (not for profit) company under the Companies Act, 1956.
