

New Delhi: The National Land Monetization Corporation (NLMC), under the Department of Public Enterprises (DPE), Ministry of Finance, has organised an Investor Meet in Visakhapatnam to brief prospective bidders and stakeholders ahead of the e-auction of 459 land parcels owned by Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited (RINL), the corporate entity of Visakhapatnam Steel Plant.

The investor outreach programme brought together senior officials from NLMC and RINL, along with prospective investors, developers and other stakeholders. The meeting focused on the land portfolio, location and characteristics of the plots, the e-auction process, eligibility criteria, registration procedure, Earnest Money Deposit (EMD) and other applicable terms and conditions.
The e-auction comprises 459 RINL land parcels aggregating 93,572.21 square yards across HB Colony, Maddilapalem and Auto Nagar in Gajuwaka, Visakhapatnam. Individual plot sizes range from approximately 128.94 square yards to 2,728 square yards.
The portfolio includes 456 residential plots at HB Colony, covering around 87,949.77 square yards, and three plots at Auto Nagar, Gajuwaka, covering approximately 5,622.44 square yards. The plots are situated in established areas with access to existing road and civic infrastructure.
At Auto Nagar, the portfolio includes a contiguous 2,728-square-yard parcel in Block 2 and two residential plots in Block 3 aggregating approximately 2,894.44 square yards. The area has established commercial and industrial activity and connectivity with Visakhapatnam and surrounding areas.
NLMC has appointed Quikr India Pvt. Ltd. (QIPL) as the Transaction Consultant for the e-auction process.
Speaking at the Investor Meet, NLMC CEO Rohan Chand Thakur said the outreach was aimed at ensuring that prospective bidders have access to comprehensive information about the land parcels, auction process and applicable terms and conditions. He said the portfolio of 459 plots spread across more than 93,500 square yards in established locations of Visakhapatnam offers prospective bidders a range of land parcels to evaluate according to their requirements.

RINL General Manager (P&A) I/c Ravi Chandra Babu R said the plots being offered through the e-auction are located in established areas including HB Colony, Maddilapalem and Auto Nagar. He added that the Investor Meet provided an opportunity to explain the portfolio and auction process directly to prospective bidders and address their queries.
The e-auction will be conducted through the RailTel E-Nivida e-Procurement Platform in two sessions.
The first session, scheduled for October 12, 2026, will cover 243 plots. The auction will be conducted from 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM, while the last date for registration and submission of EMD is October 8, 2026, up to 5:00 PM.
The second session will be held on October 16, 2026, covering the remaining 216 plots. The auction will run from 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM, with registration and EMD submission closing on October 14, 2026, at 5:00 PM.
The EMD has been fixed at Rs 2 lakh per auction.
NLMC and RINL will continue their investor outreach programme with further Investor Meets in Vijayawada on September 24 and Hyderabad on September 25, ahead of the October e-auction.
