V Ramesh (ITS) takes over as Director (Technical) of MTNL

V Ramesh (ITS) has taken over as Director (Technical) in Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Limited (MTNL) with effect from April 1, 2022

New Delhi: V Ramesh (ITS) has taken over as Director (Technical) in Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Limited (MTNL) on Friday. He has also been serving as Director (Enterprise) in Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) since June 3, 2020. With his new assignment, Ramesh has replaced Sushil Kumar Mishra, who has ceased to be Director on March 31, 2022, on account of his superannuation.

Ramesh is an Indian Telecommunications Service (ITS) officer of the 1985-batch. He has done B Tech in ECE from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad & Masters of Engineering from the University of Roorkee, Roorkee. He has also done an MBA from IGNOU.

Ramesh has more than 32 years of experience in various fields – Administration, Operations, Planning, Enterprise Business & as SSA Heads of Ahmedabad, Vadodara, Guntur etc. & as a Circle Head of Gujarat Telecom Circle. During 1997-2001, he worked in TCIL on deputation, in Kuwait foreign project as Project Manager &Operation Manager. He has worked as the Business Development unit of Andhra Pradesh telecom Circle from 2003 to 2007 and bagged major projects.

He worked as PGM (Enterprise Business) from 2017 to 2019 and got various prestigious projects viz Smart City, Wi-Fi Projects etc. He has worked as Chief General Manager in Gujarat Telecom Circle during 2019-2020.
