ACC declines extension of Coal India Director (HR) Vinay Ranjan's tenure

The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has declined the extension of the tenure of Vinay Ranjan as Director (Human Resources) of Coal India

New Delhi: The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has declined the extension of the tenure of Vinay Ranjan as Director (Human Resources) of Coal India Limited (CIL) beyond July 27, 2026, according to an order issued by the Ministry of Coal.

"I am directed to convey the approval of the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet for non-extension of the tenure of Shri Vinay Ranjan, Director (HR), Coal India Limited (CIL) beyond 27.07.2026," the order issued by the Ministry of Coal said.

Ranjan is a performance-focused people-oriented professional with extensive years of experience in entire gamut of HR. He has been serving as Director (HR) of Coal India since July 28, 2021.

Vinay Ranjan's tenure as Director (HR) at Coal India is scheduled to conclude on July 27, 2026. Following the ACC's decision, he will cease to hold the post after the completion of his current tenure unless further orders are issued.
