ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih condemned the attack, stating that the plant is a civilian facility of the mining and metallurgical industry. The company said it would provide further information in accordance with wartime requirements.
The latest attack follows a missile strike on the plant in 2022, which destroyed a rolling mill and resulted in the death of an employee.
ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih is Ukraine’s largest integrated steel company and a major industrial facility in the country. The incident comes amid continued Russian-Ukrainian hostilities.
