DVC gets distinguished Rajbhasha Kirti Award

New Delhi/ Surat: Government-owned power generator Damodar Valley Corporation (DVC) has been awarded the Best Rajbhasha Kirti (Second) Award by the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India under Board/Trust/Autonomous Body in Region 'C' for the year 2021-22 for its excellent implementation in Hindi. Kolkata-based power PSU operates both thermal power stations and hydel power stations under the ownership of the Ministry of Power.

The award was presented to DVC President Ram Naresh Singh by Union Minister of State for Home Ajay Kumar Mishra. The Hindi Diwas celebration and award ceremony was chaired by the Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah at the Second All India Official Language Conference held in Surat, Gujarat.

It is pertinent to mention here that power PSU DVC has also got the first prize for the year 2019–20, and 2021-22 for doing excellent work in the official language.

Chief Minister of Gujarat, Bhupendrabhai Patel and Ministers of State for Home Affairs, Ajay Kumar Mishra and Nisith Pramanik were also present during the event.
