According to an official statement, the MoU has been inked by EPI's Director (Projects) Sunil Dahiya and the Officer on Special Duty (OSD) to Member & Head of Department of NDMA Vivek Jayaswal in the presence of senior officials from both organisations. EPI's Chairman & Managing Director (CMD) Shivendra Nath and Executive Director Biswajit Biswas also attended the signing ceremony.

The collaboration aims to integrate disaster risk reduction (DRR) strategies into infrastructure planning and execution, with a focus on promoting climate-resilient and disaster-proof public infrastructure across the country.

Speaking on the occasion, Nath highlighted the strategic significance of the partnership. “This alliance merges our engineering excellence with NDMA’s disaster management prowess to create safer and robust infrastructure,” he said.

The partnership underlines a shared commitment by both EPI and NDMA to enhance public safety, minimize disaster-induced disruptions, and build infrastructure that can withstand the growing challenges posed by climate change and natural calamities.
