New Delhi: In a recent development, Life Insurance Corporation (LIC) has expanded its presence by inaugurating a new satellite office in Lakhipur, under Silchar Branch-I in Silchar Division, located in the Eastern Zone. The opening of this office marks the corporation's commitment to enhancing its reach and services in the region.

The newly established Lakhipur Satellite Office, with the identification code 498T001, officially commenced operations on June 2. This strategic move aims to strengthen the corporation's foothold in Silchar Division and cater to the growing needs of its valued customers in the area.

Recently, the corporation opened a new office under the Bharthana branch in the Agra division named, 'Lakhna Satellite Office'. Satellite offices of LIC serve as smaller, decentralised branches that operate under the jurisdiction of a parent branch or division. These satellite offices are established in various locations to expand LIC's presence and improve accessibility to its insurance products and services for customers. The digitalised records of these satellite offices will facilitate anywhere servicing and many other conveniences in the future.
