The delegation, led by Vice-President Sebastien Pillay, visited NBCC’s headquarters in New Delhi and held detailed deliberations with the company’s Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) KP Mahadevaswamy and senior officials.

The discussions focused on a proposed infrastructure development project spanning around 139 acres in Seychelles. The project is expected to include affordable social housing, leisure and hospitality facilities, premium villas, a sports arena, and other social infrastructure.

NBCC made comprehensive presentations showcasing its capabilities and prior experience in executing international projects. The delegation was briefed on the successful completion of a 2,000 social housing project in Hulhumale, Maldives, where Indian expertise, workforce, and materials played a significant role.

The visit builds on earlier engagements between NBCC and the Seychelles government, including discussions held during Mahadevaswamy’s visit to the island nation in January 2026. The Seychelles delegation expressed confidence in NBCC’s execution capabilities and appreciated the company’s project portfolio.

NBCC is currently undertaking key projects in Seychelles, including the construction of the Indian Chancery Building, a cultural centre, and residential units, reflecting India’s ongoing development partnership with the island nation.

The company said the visit will strengthen bilateral ties between India and Seychelles, with a shared focus on sustainable infrastructure development and long-term cooperation.
