New Delhi: State-owned NBCC (India) Ltd on Friday said its subsidiary, Hindustan Steelworks Construction Limited (HSCL), has secured work orders worth approximately Rs 158.95 crore in Odisha in the normal course of business.

According to a regulatory filing, the contracts comprise four education infrastructure projects awarded by the District Mineral Foundation (DMF), Keonjhar, and Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS).
The largest order, valued at about Rs 70.59 crore (excluding GST), pertains to the construction of a Mega Education Complex in Keonjhar district for the District Mineral Foundation. HSCL has also secured a Rs 17.24 crore contract for the construction of DD University Works under the Mega Education Complex project in Keonjhar. Both projects will be executed on a project management consultancy basis.

In addition, Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan has awarded HSCL two separate contracts worth approximately Rs 35.56 crore each for the construction of new Kendriya Vidyalaya campuses in Angul and Sambalpur districts of Odisha. Both assignments will also be undertaken on a project management consultancy basis.
NBCC said the orders have been awarded by domestic entities and do not fall under related-party transactions.
