NCL Nigahi inducts 6 advanced 100-tonne dump trucks to boost operations

Northern Coalfields Limited (NCL) has expanded its fleet at the Nigahi project with the addition of six advanced 100-tonne dump trucks

New Delhi: Northern Coalfields Limited (NCL) has expanded its fleet at the Nigahi project with the addition of six advanced 100-tonne dump trucks. These trucks were officially inducted into service on Monday by NCL Director (Technical/Operations) Jitendra Malik, who dedicated them to the nation’s energy security at the Nigahi coal mine.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by NCL Regional General Manager (Nigahi) Suman Saurabh, NCL General Manager (Excavation) Prateek Sinha, members of the project’s JCC, department heads, employees, and senior representatives from the dump truck manufacturing company.

The newly inducted dumpers, equipped with innovative technology and enhanced safety features, will be deployed for the transportation of coal and overburden within NCL’s opencast mines. With this addition, the total number of 100-tonne capacity dumpers in NCL’s fleet across various projects now stands at 263.

NCL remains steadfast in its commitment to bolstering the nation's energy self-reliance through continuous operational advancements and the integration of state-of-the-art equipment.
