NHPC declares commercial operation of 53.57 MW at Karnisar Solar Project in Bikaner

NHPC has declared the commercial operation of an additional 53.57 MW capacity under the 300 MW Karnisar Solar Power Project located in Bikaner, Rajasthan

New Delhi: NHPC Limited, India’s premier hydropower company and a leader in the renewable energy sector, has declared the commercial operation of an additional 53.57 MW capacity under the 300 MW Karnisar Solar Power Project located in Bikaner, Rajasthan.

The latest declaration follows the successful completion of trial operations on June 5, 2025, and marks the commencement of commercial operations of the third phase from June 7, 2025. With this, the cumulative commercial capacity commissioned at the Karnisar site has reached 160.71 MW out of the planned 300 MW.

This disclosure has been made in a regulotry filing to the stock exchnages on June 8. NHPC has stated that the balance capacity will be brought online in due course.
