NTPC adds 50 MW solar capacity; group’s installed capacity rises to 91,506 MW

NTPC Group’s renewable energy portfolio has expanded further with the declaration of commercial operation of 50 MW of solar capacity in Rajasthan

New Delhi: NTPC Group’s renewable energy portfolio has expanded further with the declaration of commercial operation of 50 MW of solar capacity in Rajasthan, as part of its 200 MW Renewable Energy Round the Clock (RTC) project.

According to a regulatory disclosure, the 50 MW capacity represents the fourth part of the cumulative 300 MW solar component associated with the project and is being developed by a group company of NTPC Green Energy Limited (NGEL). The capacity became commercially operational with effect from 00:00 hours on October 2, 2026.

With the addition, the total installed capacity of the NTPC Group stands at 91,506 MW, while its commercial capacity has reached 90,426 MW, the company said in its disclosure to the stock exchanges.
