NTPC Green declares 69.04 MW capacity of Khavda-I solar project operational

NTPC Green Energy Limited (NGEL) has declared commercial operation of 69.04 MW capacity of the Khavda-I Solar PV Project in Gujarat

New Delhi: NTPC Green Energy Limited (NGEL) has declared commercial operation of 69.04 MW capacity of the Khavda-I Solar PV Project in Gujarat. This information has been shared by the renewable energy company in a regulatory filing on Wednesday.

The newly commissioned capacity is the eighth part of the 1,255 MW Khavda-I Solar PV Project being developed under the CPSU Scheme Phase-II Tranche-III by NTPC Renewable Energy Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of NGEL. The capacity has been declared commercially operational with effect from 00:00 hours on December 25, 2025.

With this addition, the total installed capacity of the NTPC Green Energy Limited Group has increased to 7,996.30 MW. The group’s commercial capacity now stands at 7,927.26 MW.

NTPC Green Energy is the renewable energy arm of NTPC Ltd and is focused on the development of large-scale solar and wind power projects across the country as part of the government’s clean energy transition.
