In a regulatory filing, NTPC informed stock exchanges that the third part capacity of 37.5 MW solar power has been declared commercially operational at a 150 MW solar project located in Bhuj, Gujarat. The project is being developed by Ayana Renewable Power Four Private Limited, a subsidiary of Ayana Renewable Power Pvt. Ltd., which is a wholly owned subsidiary of ONGC NTPC Green Private Limited, a joint venture of NTPC Green Energy Limited (NGEL).

With the addition of this capacity, the total commercial capacity of the NTPC Green Energy Limited Group has increased to 8,310.28 MW, while its total installed capacity has risen to 8,347.78 MW.

Following the commercial operation declaration, NTPC Group’s overall installed power generation capacity now stands at 87,324 MW, while the total commercial capacity has reached 86,244 MW, reflecting the group’s continued expansion in clean energy.

NTPC Green Energy Limited is the renewable energy arm of NTPC and plays a key role in the company’s strategy to scale up non-fossil fuel-based power generation. The latest capacity addition aligns with NTPC’s broader objective of accelerating renewable energy deployment and supporting India’s transition towards a low-carbon and sustainable energy future.

NTPC has been consistently expanding its renewable energy footprint across solar, wind, and hybrid projects, in line with its long-term vision to significantly increase green capacity over the coming years.
