NTPC Group’s solar capacity rises as 150 MW Rajasthan project achieves COD

NTPC Limited has announced that 150 MW solar capacity of a 300 MW project in Rajasthan has been declared commercially operational

New Delhi: NTPC Limited has announced that 150 MW solar capacity of a 300 MW project in Rajasthan has been declared commercially operational, marking a significant addition to its renewable energy portfolio.

The disclosure pertains to a project developed by a group company of NTPC Green Energy Limited (NGEL). The commercial operation date (COD) for the 150 MW capacity is effective from April 18.

With this development, the total installed capacity of the NTPC Group has reached 89,528 MW, while its commercial capacity stands at 88,448 MW.

The 300 MW solar project located in Rajasthan is of Project Sixteen Renewable Power Private Ltd, a step-down subsidiary of its joint venture ONGC NTPC Green Private Ltd, a filing said.
