The ranking is published by TIME in partnership with Statista, an international provider of market and consumer data and rankings. The “Asia-Pacific’s Best Companies of 2026” list is based on a comprehensive analysis designed to identify top-performing companies across the region, evaluating organisations on three key parameters including employee satisfaction, financial performance, and sustainability transparency (ESG).

NTPC’s inclusion in the list reflects its performance across these dimensions and highlights its commitment to operational excellence, sustainability, and workforce development.

The company said the recognition aligns with its vision of becoming the world’s leading power company while supporting India’s growth and energy transition. NTPC continues to focus on delivering reliable, affordable and sustainable energy solutions through innovation, operational agility, and environmentally responsible practices. The organisation also emphasised that its power generation business is closely linked with social advancement and environmental stewardship.

According to the company, the recognition underlines its people-centric approach, described as the “People before PLF (Plant Load Factor)” philosophy. NTPC stated that it has consistently invested in human resource development through continuous process improvement, inclusive workplace practices, and employee engagement initiatives aimed at creating a collaborative and empowering work environment.

The company added that the global recognition strengthens its position as an employer of choice and reinforces its role in advancing sustainable growth and supporting a cleaner and more resilient energy future for India and the wider region.

NTPC said the honour reflects the collective efforts and dedication of its workforce, which continues to drive the organisation’s growth and global standing.
