New Delhi: ONGC Limited Chairman Arun Kumar Singh on Wednesday called on Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu and discussed the company's ongoing projects and future plans in the state.

During the meeting at the Secretariat, Singh briefed the Chief Minister on ONGC's operations. They also discussed the company's efforts towards strengthening the energy sector in Andhra Pradesh and its expansion plans in the state, an official release said.
"Singh met Naidu and briefed him on the (ONGS's) company's ongoing operations in Andhra Pradesh, including natural gas and crude oil exploration activities in the Krishna-Godavari Delta Basin, besides outlining future expansion plans in the state," the release said.
Naidu reviewed the revenue generated through ONGC projects, employment opportunities created by them and their impact on the local economy.
The CM stressed the need for closer coordination between the state government and ONGC to facilitate the speedy implementation of projects.
Naidu assured full support from the government for initiatives aimed at enhancing energy security as part of the state's development agenda.

"ONGC should utilise its Corporate Social Responsibility funds for the development of villages in areas where oil and natural gas extraction activities are being carried out," the CM said.
Responding to the chief minister, Singh said ONGC is providing advanced cancer treatment equipment to hospitals in Kakinada and Guntur as part of its CSR initiatives.
