The project has been implemented through POWERGRID Khavda II-B Transmission Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd., which secured the mandate under the Tariff Based Competitive Bidding (TBCB) route. The transmission scheme is part of the “Transmission scheme for evacuation of 4.5 GW renewable energy injection at Khavda Pooling Station under Phase-II, Part-B” .

According to the regulatory filing made to the stock exchanges, the project has been completely commissioned with effect from December 13, 2025. The Notification for Declaration of Commercial Operation (DOCO) was received by the company via email on December 18, 2025 .
