New Delhi: In recognition of his outstanding achievements in corporate leadership and government & public service sector, Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) CMD Dr Nalin Shinghal was conferred the prestigious ‘Distinguished Alumni Award 2023’ by the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Delhi. The award was presented by Dr R Chidambaram, Chairperson, Board of Governors, IIT, Delhi at its 54th convocation ceremony. An alumnus of IIT, Delhi, Dr Shinghal had completed his B Tech. in Electrical engineering in 1985.

The award has been conferred on Dr Nalin Shinghal in recognition of his 36 years of service spanning various assignments in private, public and government sectors. An IIT-IIM graduate and a commonwealth scholar he has worked with Indian Railways as well as in diverse CPSEs like CONCOR, IRCTC, CEL as well as BHEL.

He has also worked with the long range decision support group of the Ministry of Railways. With over 16 years of board/ CEO level experience, Dr Shinghal is recognised as a turnaround expert.
