New Delhi: The closing-cum-prize distribution ceremony of ‘Rajbhasha Pakhwara 2023’ concluded at Mahanadi Coalfields Limited (MCL)'s Headquarters, Sambalpur on Friday under the chairmanship of MCL's Director (Personnel) Keshav Rao. MCL's Chief Vigilance Officer (CVO) PK Patel, Director (Technical/Op) Jugal Kumar Bora and Director (Finance) Ajit Kumar Behura; Vice Presidents of Jagruti Mahila Mandal Sarita Patel and Rashmi Behura were present as guests of honour.
The program started with the lighting of ceremonial lamp. Shri Keshav Rao, DP, addressing the gathering said that the main objective of observing Rajbhasha Pakhwara is to promote the use of official language Hindi in official works. In this context, there has been an increase in the use of Hindi by the employees of the company in the past years.
MCL's General Manager (Rajbhasha) Krishna Murari Prasad in his welcome address said that majority of officers/employees have participated in various competitions during the Pakhwara. The dignitaries presented the mementoes and certificates to the winners of various competitions organised during the Pakhwara.
During the program, “Prem Pehchaan”, a Hindi translated book of the original epic based on the character of Krishna in Sambalpuri Kosli of Padmashree Haldhar Nag, translated by MCL's General Manager (Mining) Kaniha Area Dinesh Kumar Mali was also released.
The main attraction of the program was the ‘All India Kavi Sammelan,’ in which renowned poet Colonel V.P. Singh (Pune), Gaurav Sharma (Mumbai) and Dr Sarita Sharma, Sudeep Bhola and Upendra Pandey from New Delhi gave their outstanding presentation, which was greatly appreciated and much applauded by the audience.
The said program was conducted by the Department of Rajbhasha. HoD, executives and employees of various departments of MCL HQ and areas were present in the program.
