RailTel signs MoU with NHPC for providing IT and ICT services

RailTel has signed an MoU with NHPC Limited for providing a wide range of IT and ICT services to NHPC

New Delhi: RailTel Corporation of India Limited (RailTel) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with NHPC Limited for providing a wide range of IT and ICT services to NHPC. The MoU has been signed in the presence of RailTel's CMD Sanjai Kumar, NHPC's CMD Raj Kumar Chaudhary, RailTel's Director (Network Planning & Marketing) Yashpal Singh Tomar and other senior officials from both organisations.

Under this partnership, RailTel will offer NHPC comprehensive IT and ICT solutions like Data Center (DC) and Disaster Recovery (DR) services, CCTV surveillance solutions for enhanced security, IT/OT infrastructure for operational efficiency, Security Operations Center (SOC) services to ensure robust cybersecurity etc. as per requirement of NHPC.

The MoU aims to establish a long-term strategic relationship, allowing NHPC to avail itself of RailTel’s advanced digital infrastructure and IT services at competitive rates, while ensuring compliance with Central Government norms and cybersecurity protocols.

Speaking on the partnership, RailTel CMD said, "This partnership underscores RailTel’s commitment to providing cutting-edge ICT solutions to government and public sector enterprises. By leveraging our extensive digital infrastructure, we aim to support NHPC in enhancing its operational efficiency and cybersecurity."

While NHPC CMD added "We are excited to collaborate with RailTel for our IT and ICT needs. Their expertise in data centre services, cloud solutions, and secure network infrastructure will play a vital role in strengthening NHPC’s digital capabilities."

This collaboration is expected to drive technological advancement, improve operational efficiency, and foster digital transformation for NHPC, while reinforcing RailTel’s position as a trusted digital solutions provider.
