RITES secures Rs 105.69 crore maintenance contract from RDSO

New Delhi: State-owned engineering consultancy firm RITES Limited has secured a major order worth Rs 105.69 crore (excluding GST) from the Research Designs and Standards Organisation (RDSO), Lucknow, for a comprehensive maintenance contract in Rajasthan.

According to a regulatory filing, the company has received a Letter of Acceptance (LoA) from RDSO for the maintenance of a dedicated test track located between Gudha and Thathana Mithri stations in the Jodhpur division of North Western Railway (NWR).

The contract involves comprehensive maintenance of the test track infrastructure and is to be executed over a period of 60 months from the date of issuance of the LoA. The order has been awarded by a domestic entity and falls under government-to-government business transactions.

RITES stated that the transaction is between a government organisation and a government company, and does not involve any related party considerations beyond this framework.

The order is expected to further strengthen RITES’ position in the railway infrastructure and maintenance segment, particularly in specialised testing and track management services.
