New Delhi: State-owned engineering and infrastructure company Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL) has received a Letter of Acceptance (LoA) from South East Central Railway for a signalling and telecommunication (S&T) infrastructure project valued at Rs 221.33 crore in the Bilaspur Division.

In a regulatory filing on Monday, RVNL said the contract involves the replacement of panel interlocking systems with electronic interlocking, along with the installation of indoor and outdoor signalling equipment, optical fibre cable (OFC) huts, construction and electrification of S&T service buildings, and associated cabling works across multiple stations under the Bilaspur Division of South East Central Railway.
The project will cover stations including BSPR, KLPG, ABKP, MZH, HRV, PRDL, KTMA, BJRI, KJZ, MDGR, CHRM, GTK, KLTR, PLAU and KBS, aimed at enhancing signalling infrastructure and operational efficiency on the route.
According to filing, the contract has been awarded under the Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) mode by a domestic entity. The project is scheduled to be completed within 730 days.

The order is valued at Rs 221.33 crore. RVNL stated that the contract falls within the normal course of its business.
The company further clarified that neither its promoter group nor group companies have any interest in the awarding entity, and the contract does not constitute a related-party transaction.
