New Delhi: Standing Conference of Public Enterprises (SCOPE) and International Coaching Federation (ICF) have signed a long-term Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at promoting coaching-led leadership development and strengthening human capital across India’s corporate sector.
The agreement has signed by Atul Sobti, Director General of SCOPE, and Steve Weiss, Vice President of ICF, during a formal ceremony focused on advancing leadership transformation through structured coaching practices.
According to the press release, the collaboration seeks to integrate coaching as a strategic leadership tool by undertaking an evidence-based study to assess the current state of coaching in India. Based on the findings, both organisations plan to develop leadership frameworks, tools, and internal coaching capabilities tailored for the corporate environment.
Through the partnership, SCOPE aims to align leadership development practices in public enterprises and the wider corporate sector with ICF’s globally recognized standards of coaching. The initiative is expected to support organisational transformation by enhancing leadership effectiveness, employee engagement, and long-term talent development.
SCOPE, the apex body representing Public Sector Enterprises (PSEs) in India, has been actively working to promote professional excellence and capacity building across the public sector. The collaboration with ICF, a leading global body dedicated to advancing the coaching profession, is seen as a step toward institutionalizing coaching-driven leadership models in Indian organisations.
