SJVN pays interim dividend of Rs 121.33 crore to Himachal Govt for FY'25

SJVN Limited has paid an interim dividend of Rs 121.33 crore to the Government of Himachal Pradesh for the financial year 2024–25

New Delhi: SJVN Limited has paid an interim dividend of Rs 121.33 crore to the Government of Himachal Pradesh for the financial year 2024–25. The dividend cheque was formally handed over to the Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, by SJVN Limited's Director (Personnel) Ajay Kumar Sharma, in a ceremony held in Shimla on Wednesday. The Minister of Rural Development & Panchayati Raj Anirudh Singh was also present on the occasion.

The dividend payout reflects the strong financial performance and sustained profitability of SJVN. Addressing the occasion, Sharma shared that the company has declared an interim dividend of Rs 451.93 crore for FY 2024–25. Out of this, Rs 248.55 crore has been disbursed to the Government of India, while Rs 82.05 crore has been paid to public shareholders. The Government of Himachal Pradesh, which holds a 26.85 percent stake in the company, received Rs 121.33 crore as its share. The Government of India holds 55 percent equity in the company, while the remaining 18.15 percent is held by the public.

SJVN continues to play a pivotal role in powering India’s energy future. The company is currently implementing 95 power projects across India and in neighboring Nepal, spanning hydro, solar, wind, thermal, and pumped storage verticals. With an installed generation capacity of 2,708.27 MW, SJVN's total project portfolio stands at a substantial 66,107.4 MW.

Reinforcing its commitment to sustainable energy and national energy security, SJVN has charted an ambitious growth roadmap. The company aims to scale up its generation capacity to 25,000 MW by 2030 and further expand it to 50,000 MW by 2040.

SJVN’s consistent dividend payouts and strategic project execution reinforce its stature as a reliable partner in India’s renewable and conventional energy development, and a key contributor to the economic progress of Himachal Pradesh and the nation at large.
