SJVN's power stations break records in power generation

All time high monthly energy generation of 1590 million units has been clocked in from all power stations of SJVN in August 2023

New Delhi: The power stations of SJVN Limited have set new benchmarks in energy generation. According to SJVN CMD NL Sharma, all time high monthly energy generation of 1590 million units has been clocked in from all power stations of SJVN in August 2023. This is a 9 percent increase in generation from last year.

Further sharing the good news, Sharma stated that 412 MW Rampur Hydro Power Station has set a new record by achieving an all time high monthly generation of 337.165 million units since commissioning. In addition to this, highest energy generation for August month has been registered by 1500 MW Nathpa Jhakri Hydro Power Station and 50 MW Sadla Wind Power Station with 1215.326 million units and 15.938 million units respectively during the current fiscal.

Earlier, during the first quarter of the current financial year, total generation from solar and wind power stations of SJVN was 73.04 percent higher than the corresponding period of last fiscal.

Sharma congratulated all the employees and expressed his gratitude for constant guidance and support to the Union Power Minister, Ministry of Power and Governments of the States where the power stations are located. Sharma said that since commissioning of its first power station, the company has sustained an upward growth trajectory while maintaining uninterrupted energy supply to meet the rising power demands of the nation.
