Get free platform ticket just by doing squats at this railway station

New Delhi:  In a first-of-its-kind initiative, Indian Railways has installed a squat machine at Anand Vihar railway station in New Delhi. The Railways has installed this machine under the 'Fit India' programme of the government to promote fitness among people. Visitors can generate a free platform ticket just by doing 30 squats in front of the machine in 180 seconds.

Union Railway Minister Piyush Goyal has shared a video of the machine on Twitter, where a person is seen doing squats in the front of the machine and getting a ticket in return. In his tweet, the Minister said "Exercise and Get Free Platform Ticket: Indian Railways has embarked on a novel initiative to encourage fitness at Anand Vihar Railway Station in Delhi. Platform tickets will be given free of charge to those who exercise using the 'Squat Kiosk' installed."

On the occasion, Indian Railways has also launched several amenities at the station, which include 'Dava Dost,' a generic medicine shop which offers up to 80 percent discount on medicines, a massage kiosk and pulse health kiosk to measure health and wellness parameters like body composition analysis and blood pressure etc.
