Waiting for rain? Here’s how monsoon 2019 is bringing joy to the rest of India

PSU Watch Bureau

New Delhi: As monsoon covers all of Maharashtra, enters southern Gujarat and lashes the southern state of Kerala, India has so far received 92.4 mm rainfall against a normal of 144.3 mm. The north India, however, is still waiting for its share of the monsoon splash. According to the IMD, southwest monsoon has entered a period of lull as it lies dormant over parts of east Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand.

As north India waits for monsoon, here's a collection of pictures culled from Twitter and other social media platforms to ease the waiting period.
