Amit Tandon appointed as Director (Projects) of RVNL

The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the appointment of Amit Tandon as Director (Projects) of Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL) on Friday

New Delhi: Amit Tandon has been appointed as Director (Projects) of Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL), a PSU under the Ministry of Railways. The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved his appointment on Friday. He has assumed charge on the same day.

Tandon was recommended for the post of Director (Projects) of RVNL Limited by the PESB Panel in its selection meeting held on October 11, 2025. He was selected from the list of 10 candidates.

Prior to his appointment, Tandon was serving as Principal Executive Director (Metro) at RVNL, overseeing key projects including metro systems, highway bridges and track works.

According to an order issued from the Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT), Tandon will hold the post till the date of his superannuation on January 31, 2030, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

A civil engineer by qualification, Tandon has over 25 years of experience in railway and metro infrastructure. He is a graduate in Civil Engineering from Delhi College of Engineering (1991) and belongs to the 1995 batch of the Indian Railway Service of Engineers (IRSE).

RVNL is engaged in the development and implementation of rail infrastructure projects across the country.
