Anurag Sharma set to be next Director (Infrastructure) of DFCCIL

The PESB Panel has recommended the name of Anurag Sharma for the post of Director (Infrastructure) of Dedicated Freight Corridor Corporation of India Limited (DFCCIL) on Monday

New Delhi: Anurag Sharma is set to be next Director (Infrastructure) of Dedicated Freight Corridor Corporation of India Limited (DFCCIL), a PSU under the Ministry of Railways. He has been recommended for the post by the Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) panel on Monday. Presently, he is serving as Executive Director in the same organisation.

Sharma has been recommended for the post of Director (Infrastructure) of DFCCIL from a list of 11 candidates, who were interviewed by the PESB Selection Panel, in its 2nd meeting of 2025 held on January 13. Out of 11 candidates, three candidates were from DFCCIL itself, two candidates each from BHEL, Engineers India Limited & Indian Railways and one each from BSNL Limited & NTPC Limited.

As Director (Infrastructure) of DFCCIL, Sharma will be a Board member and be responsible for delivering and maintaining the Western Dedicated Freight Corridor (DFC) within deadlines. His key duties will be procurement, contract administration, stakeholder coordination, planning new corridors, preparing DPRs, and managing land acquisition for ongoing and future projects. The role demands strong leadership and strategic planning skills etc.
