Arun Kumar Tyagi set to be next Director (Technical) of NCL

The PESB panel has recommended the name of Director (Technical) of Northern Coalfields Limited (NCL) on Monday

New Delhi: Arun Kumar Tyagi is set to be next Director (Technical) of Northern Coalfields Limited (NCL), a PSU under the Ministry of Coal. He has been recommended for the post by the Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) panel on Monday. Presently, he is serving as Area General Manager (Gevra) of South Eastern Coalfields Limited (SECL).

Tyagi has been recommended for the post of Director (Technical) of NCL from a list of 12 candidates, who were interviewed by the PESB selection panel, in its 109th selection meeting held on November 10. Out of 12 candidates, three candidates were from Eastern Coalfields Limited (ECL), two candidates each from SECL, NCL & NLC India Limited and one candidate each from Central Coalfields Limited (CCL), Coal India Limited (CIL) and Dulanga Coal Mining Project of NTPC Limited.

As Director (Technical) of NCL, Tyagi will be a member of the Board of Directors of NCL and will report to Chairman and Managing Director (CMD). He will be responsible for operation of mines and also of field activities, technical functions and safety of mines.
