Arvind Kumar set to be next Director (Consumer Mobility) of BSNL

The PESB panel has recommended the name of Arvind Kumar for the post of Director (Consumer Mobility) of BSNL Limited

New Delhi: Arvind Kumar is set to be next Director (Consumer Mobility) of BSNL Limited, a PSU under the Department of Telecommunications. He was recommended for the post by the Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) on July 11. Presently, he is serving as Director General and Chief Executive Officer (DG & CEO) of Software Technology Parks of India.

The recommendation was made during PESB Meeting No. 58/2026, held on July 11, following interviews of seven candidates from BSNL and other government organizations.

The selection process included senior executives from BSNL holding key positions in consumer mobility, transmission and business operations, highlighting the strategic importance of the post in driving the company's consumer mobility business.

As Director (Consumer Mobility), Arvind Kumar will be responsible for leading BSNL's mobile services business, formulating strategies to strengthen subscriber growth, improve customer experience and expand the company's consumer mobility offerings. His appointment comes at a time when BSNL is accelerating the nationwide rollout of its indigenous 4G network and preparing for future technology upgrades.

The PESB recommendation will now be forwarded to the competent authority for consideration and final approval in accordance with the prescribed procedure for appointing board-level executives in Central Public Sector Enterprises.
