Bhaskar Barua set to be next Managing Director of NERAMAC

The PESB Panel has recommended the name of Bhaskar Barua for the post of Managing Director of North Eastern Regional Agricultural Marketing Corporation Limited (NERAMAC)

New Delhi: Bhaskar Barua is set to be next Managing Director (MD) of North Eastern Regional Agricultural Marketing Corporation Limited (NERAMAC), a Schedule ‘C’ Public Sector Enterprise under the Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region (DoNER). He has been recommended for the post by the Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) panel on June 25. Presently, he is serving as Deputy General Manager Deputy at Siliguri Marketing Terminal of Numaligarh Refinery Limited (NRL).

Barua has been recommended for the post of Managing Director of NERAMAC from a list of four candidates who were interviewed by the PESB selection panel in its selection meeting held June 25. The other contenders were:

  • Malay Mandal, Additional General Manager (Branch Manager) at MSTC Limited

  • Keshari Nandan, General Manager at Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL)

  • Dipak Tryambak Patil, Deputy General Manager at Ratnagiri Gas & Power Pvt. Ltd.

After careful evaluation, PESB found Barua best suited to lead NERAMAC, which plays a pivotal role in supporting and promoting agricultural marketing and development in the North Eastern Region.

His appointment is subject to further approvals and clearances as per the standard procedures of government appointments.
